Mehr als 250 Tote bei Überschwemmungen, Flughafen Chennai steht unter Wasser....

... das sind die Nachrichten, die sogar das weitentfernte Deutschland erreicht haben!

Ich wohne hier in Vellore, was nur 3-4 Stunden von Chennai entfernt ist und es regnet jetzt seit einem knappen Monat. Die Menschen haben hier mittlerweile dadurch sehr große Probleme und es mangelt ihnen oft an grundlegenden Versorgungsgütern, wie sauberem Trinkwasser oder einem Dach überm Kopf. Deshalb hier ein kleiner Spendenaufruf:

As many of you might know, Tamil Nadu and the people here are having big problems caused by the continuing rain.
The lakes are full, many damms are broken, the streets are flooded, even the Chennai airport had to close.
The food prices are rising, many people do not have electricity anymore or even a place to stay.
Others are cut off from the access to basic human needs, like clean drinking water, food, medical supplies etc..

We need to help and we want to help, so we are asking YOU: "Please donate some money for these people in need!"

There are some people, who help with donations in kind already (for example: clean drinking water, food, bed sheets...),as they bring them to Cuddalore and Chennai. But of course more help is needed.

Ajith selvaraj, a member of our project, is also part in one of this groups. He organizes donations and brings them personally to Cuddalore. All the money we will raise, will go directly to him, so that he can use it on the spot!

Außerdem muss ich mich mal wieder dafür entschuldigen, dass ich hier schon so lange nichts mehr geschrieben habe!

Bald gibt es Berichte von meinen Reisen (mit ganz vielen Bildern natürlich), Annes erstem Geburtstag, der mit 500 Gästen celebriert wird, den Fortschritten und Aktionen des Projekts und natürlich dann auch Updates, wie unser Kampf gegen den Regen/ die Regenschäden läuft. :)
